Spring has arrived, at least as far as the calendar goes. But is greenery returning to Northeastern Pennsylvania? The early signs say...YES!

This was my first hint. I noticed a subtle greening among the snoozing trees and shrubbery that line the roadside not far from my house. It's not much, but hey...I'll take it!

In the backyard of my late mother-in-law's house is a small garden. These were shooting up out of the ground. I've no idea what they are...but they're green, and that's what counts.

A few feet away, some type of bush or shrub. No, I don't know the difference between a bush or a shrub. But whatever it is, it's obviously making a statement. To paraphrase Robin Williams: It's spring...let's party! Of course, the bees will nest there, I'm sure of it. My first sting of the year is just around the corner...

Spring dreams of watching his little friends, those fluffy, perky birds, hoping they alight upon his nose...where he can gaze in awe at their plumage...and then bite their little heads off...
