Up the old gas pipe...

Notice the proximity of the nozzle to the wallet...

Gaspipe

As long as we keep up our high octane activism against rookies ... Complete fools and mishegases who have plagued the corners of the White House for the past 8 years we might be OK... Please bring back a President who wants to sell a night in the Lincoln bedroom if it will reduce the price of gas... We've ALL been Cheyneyed... C'mon Jim... give it up, you've been duped too...

Gaspipe...

The United States has no coherent energy policy...just like the good old days of the LAST gas crisis. Nothing has changed. We need the national will to effect real change...to develop alternate fuel (hydrogen in particular)...to invest massively in new refineries in this country, which would create jobs for Americans and send an unequivocal message to the rest of the world that we are serious about energy independence.

But what will probably happen is we'll pass windfall taxes...and imports will increase (the exact opposite of what we need to happen) while our refining capacity withers on the vine.

Government's a wonderful thing, ain't it? But these are the same folks who saw what hurricane Camille did decades ago and didn't heed the warning that a Katrina was inevitable. (Wait till a category 3 hits New York City. It will happen. And we will NOT be ready for it. Bank on it...just make sure the bank isn't in Manhattan, or your money will get wet.)

(What's the going rate on that Lincoln bedroom thing, anyway? Sound like more fun than buying a couple tanks of gas with the stimulus check!)
